Get Faster
With 1-on-1 iRacing Coaching
Personalized sim racing coaching for iRacing drivers, built around live driving feedback, telemetry analysis and a clear practice plan to fix bad habits and build consistent, competitive pace.
What You'll Improve With iRacing Coaching
Faster lap times don't come from one trick. Our sim racing coaching focuses on the driving habits that have the biggest impact on your pace, consistency and race performance — then gives you a clear way to improve them.
Braking & Trail Braking
Identify where you're losing time under braking, improve brake pressure and release, and learn how to trail brake more effectively into the corner without destabilizing the car.
Racing Line & Corner Technique
Fix inefficient lines, entry speeds and apex choices that cost lap time. Learn how to connect braking, rotation and acceleration into one efficient corner sequence.
Car Rotation & Throttle Control
Improve how you rotate the car through the middle of the corner and transition back to throttle while reducing unnecessary understeer, oversteer and wasted steering input.
Lap Time Consistency
Understand why your lap times fluctuate and build repeatable braking points, inputs and corner execution so your pace holds up over full race stints instead of only one fast lap.
Racecraft & Decision-Making
Improve overtaking, defending, positioning and decision-making when racing other drivers. Learn when to attack, when to wait and how to avoid throwing away pace in unnecessary battles.
Smarter Practice Structure
Stop turning laps without a clear goal. Your coach identifies the weaknesses that matter most and gives you focused priorities and drills so each practice session has a purpose.
Every driver needs something different. Your iRacing coaching session is built around your current pace, driving habits, car, track and goals rather than forcing every driver through the same generic training plan.

Drivers We’ve Coached Who Broke Through
More examples of drivers building pace, confidence, and consistency through structured coaching, better driving technique, and smarter practice.
Hit a plateau around 2600 iR, then built consistency and pace through coaching. Small technical changes started adding up and unlocked a much stronger level of driving.
“Coaching made everything feel far more structured. I stopped just driving laps and finally started practicing with purpose.”
“It helped me understand what to do, what to look for, and what mistakes to avoid. That clarity made me much more confident.”
Coaching Breakdowns
These short breakdowns show real examples of how drivers improve through structured coaching. By correcting subtle mistakes in braking, rotation, and technique, drivers often gain seconds per lap and dramatically increase consistency.
In this coaching breakdown we analyze a braking mistake that was costing a driver nearly a second per lap. By correcting the brake pressure curve and improving how the car loads into the corner, the driver immediately gained pace and consistency across multiple laps.
Many sim racers unknowingly develop braking habits that prevent the car from rotating properly. In this example we break down a common brake trap that slows drivers down and show how a small adjustment can unlock seconds of lap time improvement.
We’ve Worked With Thousands Of iRacers
Here’s the feedback from drivers who improved their speed, consistency, confidence, and racecraft through coaching and courses.
Just had a 90 min session with Marian and it was my second session with him after having one a month ago. Before my first session I had 2000 rating and lacked pace just two weeks after I reached 5000.
He was able to show me small details and habits that add up to give me the couple tenths a lap I was missing. Marian was very professional and very friendly. I couldn’t recommend him more.
Had my second session with Marian this week — F3 at Nürburgring GP. Again, great coaching session, and Marian’s tips helped me shave nearly a SECOND off my lap time, now consistently hitting 1:49.2s.
Got a P4 and P3 in my last two races. You wanna drive at the quicker pace? Go with GITGUD! Thanks buddy! I’ll be back.
After 1 year of iRacing and lots of time feeling I hadn’t got the confidence reaching the level I wanted to achieve, I decided to take a coaching session from Marian to understand what my bad habits are.
I found the session great. The conclusion was where I gained lots of insight into my own driving style and what I should master to get to the full potential. Before I was stuck at a certain time and didn’t feel I could increase it any further. During the session I was already faster and still felt like I could improve more.
Just finished my session with Marian. He treats the customers and makes you feel at home, which made a lot of sense looking for a coach. The ability to explain complex things in a simple way is exactly what stood out.
I automatically improved my lap times on cold tyres compared to my session best before. He makes you understand the car and its behavior. It was a great pleasure and I will definitely have another session when I feel I need even more improvement.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where is the coaching session conducted?
The coaching session takes place on the GITGUD Racing Discord server, using the Waiting Room and Coaching Room voice channels. You’ll need to have Discord installed on your computer — the browser version causes latency issues and is not recommended.
2. How does an iRacing coaching session work?
We’ll use screen sharing on Discord. You’ll share your screen while driving, and I’ll watch you in real-time to give feedback and instructions.
3. What are the best practices before the session?
- Join the Waiting Room 5 minutes before the session.
- Ensure your microphone and audio are working properly.
- Have iRacing running and ready.
- I’ll move you to the private Coaching Room when the session starts.
4. What should I prepare for the session?
To get the most value:
- Have a telemetry overlay that shows your inputs (brake, throttle, steering). Tools like RaceLabs, SimHub, or iOverlays work perfectly.
- Familiarize yourself with Active Resets in iRacing — they save time during practice.
- Optional but highly recommended: Review the first three chapters of the GITGUD Racing course if you own it, as it covers the core concepts we’ll build on.
5. How do I get the most out of my coaching session?
- Be on track in iRacing before the session starts — no time wasted loading.
- Use Active Resets to avoid losing time towing if you crash.
- The more prepared you are, the more we can focus on improvement rather than setup.
- Pick a track-car combo you’re already familiar with.
6.How quickly can iRacing coaching improve my lap times?
You’ll notice improvements right from the first sim racing coaching session. Many iRacing drivers experience gains after just one personalized session. However, lasting progress—especially in GT3 or open-wheel cars like Formula—usually comes after consistent practice with the recommended drills and detailed telemetry analysis. Most racers see noticeable technique improvements after 2 to 8 hours of focused sim racing practice.
7. How often should I book a coaching session for a long-term plan?
For most iRacing drivers, weekly or bi-weekly sessions work best. This cadence allows time to absorb feedback, apply driving techniques, and practice on GT3 or Formula-style cars. Spacing out your sim racing coaching helps reinforce habits like throttle modulation, corner entry precision, and braking zones, which are core to long-term improvement.
8. Can I get coached if I use VR?
Absolutely! The coaching sessions work flawlessly with VR setups. Screen sharing still functions as normal, and VR provides enhanced feedback awareness—perfect for mastering advanced techniques like trail braking or GT3 rotation.
9. What language is the coaching in?
Sim Racing Coaching is available in English and Romanian.
