Meet Your Coach
I’m Marian — a top 1% iRacer offering personal iRacing coaching and sim racing courses designed to help drivers improve, compete, and win in both Formula & GT Cars.
I’ve coached over 750 drivers and helped more than 1,500 racers through my online courses. With hundreds of educational videos on the GITGUD Racing YouTube channel, accumulating over 3 million views, my goal is to provide the best sim racing resources to help drivers analyze, improve, and get faster.
As I’ve been competing at a high level for more than 5 years, I know what it takes to improve — and more importantly, how to teach it. Whether you’re struggling with consistency, race craft, or raw pace, I can help you break through your limits.
How Coaching Improves Your Speed

In a coaching session, my goal is to identify all the weak points in your driving by analyzing your telemetry and car behavior. I closely examine every input you make, looking for patterns, bad habits, and subtle details that are almost invisible to the naked eye. After working with so many drivers, this process has become second nature to me. During the session, I’ll provide you with a clear, comprehensive breakdown of what’s holding you back, explain how to fix each issue, and then we’ll head on track together to put those solutions into practice.
After the coaching session, I provide each student with a personalized practice plan that includes drills and exercises tailored to your current skill level. The goal is to eliminate the major issues holding you back, build the right driving habits, and support continued improvement. I always encourage my students to message me on Discord if they have questions while working through the plan. You don’t need to book another session just for a quick question—I might not always be able to reply instantly, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m available. It’s important to me that you feel supported, stay on track, and don’t get stuck while implementing the new techniques.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where is the coaching session conducted?
The coaching session takes place on the GITGUD Racing Discord server, using the Waiting Room and Coaching Room voice channels. You’ll need to have Discord installed on your computer — the browser version causes latency issues and is not recommended.
2. How is the session conducted?
We’ll use screen sharing on Discord. You’ll share your screen while driving, and I’ll watch you in real-time to give feedback and instructions.
3. What are the best practices before the session?
- Join the Waiting Room 5 minutes before the session.
- Ensure your microphone and audio are working properly.
- Have iRacing running and ready.
- I’ll move you to the private Coaching Room when the session starts.
4. What should I prepare for the session?
To get the most value:
- Have a telemetry overlay that shows your inputs (brake, throttle, steering). Tools like RaceLabs, SimHub, or iOverlays work perfectly.
- Familiarize yourself with Active Resets in iRacing — they save time during practice.
- Optional but highly recommended: Review the first three chapters of the GITGUD Racing course if you own it, as it covers the core concepts we’ll build on.
5. How do I get the most out of my coaching session?
- Be on track in iRacing before the session starts — no time wasted loading.
- Use Active Resets to avoid losing time towing if you crash.
- The more prepared you are, the more we can focus on improvement rather than setup.
- Pick a track-car combo you’re already familiar with.
6. How long does it take to see improvements?
You’ll notice improvements right from the first sim racing coaching session. Many iRacing drivers experience gains after just one personalized session. However, lasting progress—especially in GT3 or open-wheel cars like Formula—usually comes after consistent practice with the recommended drills and detailed telemetry analysis. Most racers see noticeable technique improvements after 2 to 8 hours of focused sim racing practice.
7. How often should I book a coaching session for a long-term plan?
For most iRacing drivers, weekly or bi-weekly sessions work best. This cadence allows time to absorb feedback, apply driving techniques, and practice on GT3 or Formula-style cars. Spacing out your sim racing coaching helps reinforce habits like throttle modulation, corner entry precision, and braking zones, which are core to long-term improvement.
8. Can I get coached if I use VR?
Absolutely! The coaching sessions work flawlessly with VR setups. Screen sharing still functions as normal, and VR provides enhanced feedback awareness—perfect for mastering advanced techniques like trail braking or GT3 rotation.
9. What language is the coaching in?
Sim Racing Coaching is available in English and Romanian.
